The commission rate
The platform commission rate is 15%, represented in configuration as 0.15 under Todifit:CommissionRate. The rate applies to the item subtotal only, before delivery fees.
Retailer share
Retailers receive their full 85% of the item subtotal plus the delivery fee for their store via settlement transfer. Stripe processing fees are absorbed by Todifit and are not deducted from the retailer share.
What Todifit keeps
For each order, the retailer receives 85% of the item subtotal plus 100% of the delivery fee for their store. Todifit keeps 15% of the item subtotal only and does not take any share of the delivery fee. Todifit pays the Stripe processing fees, which are approximately 2.9% plus $0.30 per payment, out of its commission.
| Order example | Item subtotal | Delivery fee | Customer pays | Retailer gets (85% + delivery) | Todifit commission (15% of subtotal) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single-store dress order | $100.00 | $10.00 | $110.00 | $95.00 | $15.00 |
| Free delivery basket | $160.00 | $0.00 | $160.00 | $136.00 | $24.00 |
| Two-store order | $200.00 | $18.00 | $218.00 | $188.00 | $30.00 |
Where the 15% goes
The commission funds the shared marketplace services that independent stores would otherwise need to buy, build, or manage separately.
- Marketing and customer acquisition that brings shoppers across Australia to participating stores.
- Infrastructure and hosting, including secure APIs, static web apps, CDN delivery, storage, observability, and database operations.
- Todifit-funded promotions and discounts used to drive sales without reducing the retailer share.
- Integration costs that Todifit pays for payment, stock, POS, AI search, and Virtual Try-On services.
- Platform development, retailer support, shopper support, fraud prevention, and ongoing maintenance.
Delivery and payment fees
The delivery fee charged at checkout is passed through to the store that fulfils the order; Todifit does not keep any part of it. Stripe processing fees are paid by Todifit out of its 15% commission, so a retailer payout is predictable: 85% of the item subtotal plus the delivery fee for that store.
