Payouts and settlement

Retailer settlement is held until the shipment is delivered and the 7-day return window has passed with no active return.

Settlement overview

When a shopper pays, Todifit records the retailer share but does not immediately transfer funds to the retailer. Funds are held on the Todifit platform balance until the store shipment is delivered plus the 7-day return window, provided there is no active return.

No instant transfer

Todifit does not create Stripe Connect transfers on payment success or from payment webhooks. Settlement release happens after the delivery and return-window rules are satisfied.

Why settlement is held

The hold protects shoppers and retailers. If a return or refund is needed during the return window, the refund can be handled from the held platform balance before retailer funds are released.

When funds are released

  1. The store shipment is marked delivered.
  2. Seven days pass after delivery.
  3. There is no active return for the shipment.
  4. Todifit releases the retailer share to the connected Stripe account according to the platform settlement process.
